I have some more annoying suggestions for your widgets for you to consider. 😀
These suggestions are focused on making things better overall for your readers and you by reducing scrolling, reducing confusion, reducing load times, reducing overlap and duplicates, reducing read times, reducing strain, reducing loss of attention, improving space usage, and making it easier on your readers and you in various other areas.
Maybe consider using the medium icon size for the RSS Links widget, enable the drop-down option for the Archives widget, use the Category widget with post count enabled instead of the Category Cloud widget, remove the Tag Cloud widget since Search and Archives and Category et cetera replaces this and saves space in my opinion, use only one Recent Comments widget with all comments enabled, use only one My Community widget with all options enabled instead separating them, use only one Top Posts & Pages widget with maybe one of the image options enabled, maybe use the Posts I Like widget, maybe use the Top Clicks widget, maybe use the Gravatar widget or Gravatar Profile widget, use clear widget titles that clearly let readers know what the widget is or use the default widget titles, do not have widgets show more than 10 items per widget when possible, and try to avoid using more than 20 widgets.
Thank you, and you are welcome Flynn and I like the new color scheme. 👍
But I think that you probably removed too many widgets Flynn, we both know that we are widget fans, and so dropping from 22 or 23 widgets to 8 is pretty drastic and likely to cause a reversal reaction in you and you probably left out some of the core (essential) widgets in my opinion. 😉
I am currently using 12 widgets on my blog, which could decrease or increase, but I am trying to stay in the 10 – 15 (20 max) widgets range to help avoid a reversal reaction where I add too many widgets again.
Yup. I switched it to the dark background and probably at the same time you posted your previous comment in reference to the light background, which is pinkish (f2e9e1) to best match the other colors.
Oui, I was expecting that you would change it again, but I was not expecting you to change it that fast so that is why I did not mention which one I was talking about at first. 😀
Update: The ‘Top Clicks Widget’ has been retired per a LIVE CHAT with a Staff member a few minutes ago. I’ve combined your latest suggestions with my OLD version.
Thanks for trying many of the widget suggestions Flynn but I still would suggest replacing the Category Cloud widget with the Category widget with post count enabled and drop-down enabled if you have too many categories, removing the Tag Cloud widget or at least decreasing the tags shown by 50%, and maybe add the Posts I Like widget.
Well actually I recommend removing the Tag Cloud widget because I think that it is unnecessary because of Search and Archives and Categories et cetera and it wastes space (maybe you could recommend that they make a drop-down option for it), but if someone was to use that widget reducing the tags shown to maybe a maximum of 35 or less would save space.
Congratulations Flynn, at first I almost thought that you got 500 Likes in one day. 😀

I forgot to mention which color scheme that I was talking about, I was referring to either of the color schemes with a white background.

*Off-Topic*
My new mattress arrived today Flynn, and now I have it airing out and expanding for the next few days.
